Efosa O. Etomi graduated from the University of Benin, Benin in 1988 and was called to the Nigerian bar in 1989. For her National Youth service, she worked as Assistant to Second-In-Command, Directorate of Intelligence & Investigation Headquarters, Kaduna between 1989 and 1990 and practiced at the law firm of Gbenga Atoki & Co Kaduna before joining Nigeria’s foremost law firm, Chief Rotimi Williams’ Chambers in 1992 where she was promoted to Lead counsel and then her current position as partner in 2011.

She is an esteemed member of numerous reputable organizations including, the Nigerian Bar Association, Terralex, International Bar Association (IBA), International Federation of Women Lawyers (FIDA), African Women’s Lawyers Association (AWLA), South-South Zonal Coordinator of the African Women Lawyers Association in Nigeria and a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Mediators & Conciliators (ICMC).

She has published articles touching on various areas of law including the application of international labour standards by the National Industrial Court, Nigerian family law review, enforcement of arbitral awards, stemming the tide of frivolous injunctions etc.

Efe Etomi has appeared in many cases at all levels of court including the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. She has acted as counsel on a wide range of litigation and arbitration matters.
